Black Obsidian and Black & White Glass Bracelet

This bracelet is composed of highly polished natural obsidian with two-tone black and white glass spacer beads. The deep black color is interrupted in some spots by lighter areas that display the twisted refraction of light that is common in a matrix of volcanic glass. These areas "bounce" light back to the eye, in a manner similar to cat's eye mineral and stone, giving the appearance of an inner glow to some pieces. Since they are polished natural stone, each bracelet is unique in character. Strong on a super strong clear gel cord.

From a metaphysical/occult standpoint obsidian displays protective qualities and is a great protection stone for people who are overly softhearted. In some paths/trads it is associated with the inner mysteries of the Goddess, symbolizing entrance to the labyrinth, the womb or the subconscious self. Purification is also a property of obsidian and it is said to be good for the liver and for those exposed to environmental and other toxins. Some use it as a balancing stone for clear quartz. The two-tone beads are basically white but have a streak of black/dark grey on one side (any number of occult relationships can be found with this kind of color combination), if you are working via color and not material this would make a fine ritual bracelet.
